Toronto Maternity Photographer
I’m a Toronto maternity photographer specializing in natural, relaxed sessions for growing families. Whether you’re envisioning an in-home session, a quiet outdoor location, or a studio setting, I focus on capturing images that feel honest and effortless.
A relaxed, natural approach to maternity photography
My sessions are easygoing and designed to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but the focus is always on natural movement, connection, and letting things unfold as they are. As a Toronto maternity photographer, my approach is less about posing and more about creating space for genuine moments to happen.
When to book your maternity session
I recommend scheduling your maternity session during the later part of your second trimester or early in your third trimester, when your baby bump is well defined but you’re still feeling comfortable enough to move with ease.
Including your partner and children
You’re welcome to include your partner and children in your session. These images often become some of the most meaningful by capturing what it feels like to be waiting together for your newest arrival. If you have little ones with lots of energy, that’s completely expected. My sessions are movement-based and playful, allowing space for connection, interaction, and real moments rather than rigid posing.
Where your maternity session can take place
Your maternity session can take place in a setting that feels natural to you. I offer a few different options depending on the look and feel you’re drawn to:
Outdoor sessions: Natural light and open space that allow for movement and connection. There are many beautiful, quieter locations across Toronto that work especially well during golden hour.
Studio sessions: A clean, minimal environment with soft, controlled light for a more editorial feel (additional fees apply.)
In-home sessions: Quiet, intimate portraits in your own space, which is perfect for something personal, relaxed, and reflective of your everyday life.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m already well into my third trimester. Did I miss the window?
Not at all. While I usually recommend booking earlier, sessions can still work really well later on. We’ll simply keep things a bit more relaxed and choose a setting that feels comfortable for you.
What if my toddler doesn’t cooperate during the session?
That’s completely expected. I don’t rely on children sitting still or looking at the camera. The session is built around movement and interaction, so we’re able to capture natural moments regardless of their mood.
What if I feel awkward or don’t know what to do during the session?
Most people feel this way at first. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but the session isn’t about posing perfectly. It’s about creating space for natural connection and moments.
I’m not sure whether to choose an in-home, outdoor, or studio session. Can you help?
Yes, absolutely. Once you reach out, I can help you decide based on the look you’re drawn to, the time of year, and what feels most comfortable for you.
Do you help with what to wear?
Yes. After booking, I’ll send over guidance to help you chose clothes that photograph well and feel like you. The goal is something comfortable, cohesive, and easy.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate for an outdoor session?
We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and make a call together. If needed, we can reschedule so you still get something that feels consistent with your vision.
Can I book both maternity and newborn sessions together?
Yes, many families choose to do both but you it’s up to you. I offer a bundled rate when you book your maternity and new baby sessions are booked.
