Toronto family photography

My portrait sessions tell your unique story. Parenting is a rollercoaster and I'm here to document the chaos, laughter, and everything in between. Over the years I’ve photographed hundreds of kids of all ages, including newborns, toddlers and teenagers.  If you’re looking for a Toronto family photographer, I’d love to help you out.

Expecting Parents

Celebrate your upcoming arrival with a maternity session where we’ll create images that reflect the excitement and anticipation of this unique chapter.

LITTLE ONE Realness

No frills, just genuine moments. I'll capture the adorable details and natural beauty of those initial days with the newest member of your family.

Family Vibes

Life with kids is messy, loud, and full of love. My photography sessions embrace the chaos and genuine connections, while adding an editorial approach. Whether it's a playful day at one of Toronto’s gorgeous parks or a laid-back moment indoors, I'll document the real spirit of your children and you.

MATERNITY

Capturing candid moments & connections

I love finding the beauty in your everyday life. My lifestyle photography sessions are child-focused and fun with a lot of movement and play. As a family photographer my goal is to make you feel at ease in front of the camera. I’ll capture authentic and intimate images.

Our whole family is just completely in love with the photos. And again, we were so impressed by not only the finished product, but also how great you were during the session. We can’t thank you enough.

Finding the best family photographer is a personal choice so look around to see if my style is a fit for you. I take a lifestyle approach to photography, which is a mix between documentary and classic portraits. My style is bright and airy, with a modern, simple aesthetic. My photographs capture candid moments and everything in between. I’m available for photoshoots in Toronto and beyond, both for in-home sessions and outdoors.

Kira is by far the best photographer I have ever used. She has an amazing ability to always get the perfect photo (this can be quite tricky with my two busy toddler children). I am absolutely in love with her beautiful, light, airy, and natural photo sessions.

FAQs

Here are some of my most commonly asked questions

Q. WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT DURING OUR SESSION?

A.  Expect to have fun, laugh, play...you get the idea.  My approach to photography is lifestyle - which is a mix between documentary and classic portraits. For the majority of our session, you'll be interacting with your family so we can get more authentic and less "posey" shots. My goal is to take pictures that look natural and "candid". And don't worry if you feel uncomfortable having your photo taken (I do!) or if your children don't like to sit still.  I'll provide direction to help your family feel natural in front of the camera.

Q. WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

A. Most importantly wear something you feel yourself in. Neutrals tend to look nice in photos but a soft pop of colour or two can also work nicely if you like colour. A tip is to try to coordinate your family's outfits, without being too "matchy matchy".

Q. WHAT IF IT RAINS FOR AN OUTDOOR SHOOT?

If the weather forecast is questionable, I will review the weather report and usually make a call 4 hours or so before the session on whether to proceed.  If we are doing an early morning session, we’ll chat the night before.  If the weather isn't cooperating, we will reschedule for a mutually agreeable future date. No worries if it's not a sunny day - cloudy days can actually make for great pictures!

Q. WHERE WILL THE PHOTOSHOOT TAKE PLACE?  I have lots of places to recommend in the Toronto area, including a couple hidden gems! I can suggest a gorgeous beach location or one of the many parks. Or if you’re looking for something indoors, there are a few modern studios in the city available for rent.
